Beauty of flowers :
The flowers in nature are very attractive and beautiful. Right from children to adults everyone is interested to have a look into the unique beauty of nature. Flowers enhance the beauty of the place where they are grown.
Veggie flowers:
Veggie flowers are those flowers that bloom before a vegetable grows in a particular plant. They go unnoticed most of the time but some have the special qualities in them to attract the attention of people. Their presence in a park or garden gives a pleasant look to the environment. They are rarely used as food, But most of the time they are used for flower arrangement, decorative purposes and also in flower vases. Women in some parts of the world wear them in their beautiful hair. Some types of flowers are very expensive because of their great demand. People buy them during special occasion and celebrations.

How they go unnoticed:
Consuming vegetables as food keeps human beings very healthy. People concentrate on the taste of vegetables while they use it as food. People seldom look at the beauty and variety of flowers that bloom in a particular plant. Flowers bloom in a plant to develop seeds or fruits in them and some plants bear the flowers just for the sake of flowering. Only these kind of flowering plants are well known all over the world. But there exists a different world of flowers in those plants where daily consuming vegetables are grown. They go unnoticed. Different vegetables show a variety of flowers blooming around. Step into the beautiful veggie flower garden and know their secret.
People usually water the plants early in the morning. One can see the number of flowers that are in full bloom and others in the budding stage. It is very much common in people who care for their flowers and plants. On keen observation of the wonderful flowers, their beauty and color variety can never go unnoticed.
Normally, there is never a similarity between the colour of flowers and vegetables growing in a particular plant. Only the color in Brinjal flower somewhat matches the vegetable growing in it later. In some veggie plants, even though flowering is white, the growing vegetable has a dark color. If flowering takes place at the ground level the vegetable too grows in the similar way.

Beauty of the blooming flowers and vegetables in a plant:
There isn't any sign of bitterness as the yellow flowering is seen in the Bitter gourd creeper. Flowers having a long sepal always swing and move in air very pleasantly and attract many insects in the nature. Only the formation of petals in a flower and their overlay vary from one another. Flowers in a Cucumber plant bloom in between the leaves and attract the Honey bees that fly along in the morning.
Ridge gourd flowers are much bigger like the vegetable itself. As they grow over their big leaves they face the sun. Color and size of a Tomato plant can never be similar. Small yellow colored petals grow in a stem with greenish color of almost the same size. Bunches of flower grow in them. Tomatoes growing later will also come out in similar fashion. White colored Tinder flowers grow on dark green creepers, scattered all over. Ash gourd flowers are somewhat white and big. Small and white colored flowers in Green chillies have their own attraction. They grow in such a way that they outnumber their leaves. Leaves almost become invisible in this plant. Lot of Chillies grow in them, later.
Green beans bear dark pink flowers and are much more attractive. They have a long stem and grow on the bottom side of creepers. Lady’s finger flower looks like a microwave antenna. They grow along the path where there is lot of insect movement. The inner circle of flower is brownish in color. The Radish flower is light blue and grows in small bunches.
Grow them in your backyard:
Cooking and trying a veg food becomes more of a fantastic experience by imagining the color and beauty in a veggie plant. Grow them in your backyard and enjoy.

friends. The more the merrier. :-)
Thank
you! Great shots, good to see somebodu else apreciates vegetable flowers.
Beautiful
pictures. The Amorphophallus paeoniifolius is especially amazing.
Thank
you Jerilee Wei, Ripplemaker, Bob Ewing and Jeniferr, for your appreciation.
But the real appreciation must go to our mother nature who gave them a place to
grow and nurtured them. She is the original 'Nugget' who inspired me to do
this. Dear friends, your good comments is a support for me, now and always.
Congratulations
on being a articlenugget nominee and thank you for showcasing mother natures
beautiful flowers. What a treat!
It
really (I'm embarrassed to admit this) never occurred to me that there was a
potato flower. Great idea for a article -- I'm going to look at me spuds with
new respect, now!
^@Dottie1:
Thank you for congratulating me and commenting here.
^@Teresa
McGurk: Potato plants tend to flower more in regions with long cool, moist
growing seasons. Thanks for commenting with your point of view on these
flowers.
Great
Article! Sometimes we are so focused on the fruit of the plant we don't take
notice of the beauty of the beginning.
Beautiful
pictures. One of my favorites is the okra flower. Deeply exotic in the throes
of the summer's heat. Thank you for a lovely article. Good luck on the ArticleNuggets
nomination!
Beautiful
pictures. These flowers are all so beautiful! I like your advice "to taste
these vegetables by imagining the beauty of their flowers".
Congratulations on being nominated to ArticleNuggets!
DarleneMarie,
Dink96 and k@ri, Thank u for congratulating me and commenting on this article.
This
is way cool! Thanks for sprucing up my morning with purdy flerwers. =)
I
do have a couple of suggestions, which may make this article a bit more neato..
-How
about providing a link to some recipes involving these plants?
-
Your paragraph head lines are rather utilitarian, and get their points across
with no problem..how about 'flowering' them up, though? For example..
"Vegetable flowers go unnoticed :" could be... "See it, Smell
it, Eat it"
Great
article, overall, however. =) Welcome to ArticlePages!
That's
a good advice from u, Generique. I accept it. My point of view is that someone
reading the topic must also enjoy it. I'll do anything for that.
Wonderful
photos -
Wow!
Wonderful array of pictures! A part of nature we may not always take time to
look for. I really enjoyed your works of 'art'!
Thank
u Nomilits Nana and frogyfish, for your comments.
Amazing
photography here.. we never think about this beauty while eating our greens...
children must be taught about these beautiful flowers, this may help them eat
their veggies!
Yes..Neha,
we must create awareness about the nature among the younger generation and also
let them know what we gain later. Protecting and nurturing these beautiful
plants should be a part of our routine life.
Fascinating!
I've seen a few of these flowers but not most of them. I had no idea how
beautiful and interesting they were. The onion and garlic ones are especially
amazing.
Flowers
and Orchids have always been attracting the entire human community. But these
veggie flowers go unseen most of the time. Their beauty might be visible to us
only when our way of viewing them changes.
Nice
article!
There
is great beauty in ordinary things.
magnoliazz...thank
you for the kind comment.
Really
like this website, this really helps and very useful.
I
used to consider myself a gardener - until now - these photos and info are
great! Excellent Article!
